Weight Capacity of Celestron Alt-Azimuth
Mounts
Following table lists the weight capacity of each of the Celestron computerized
alt-azimuth mounts in production as of early 2018 as reported by Celestron.
Celestron occasionally changes their mind on a mount's capacity or provides
additional mount capacities, to include the equatorial mounts, at their website.
Also, it is not uncommon to exceed these limits a bit which is fine as long as
you keep things nearly balanced fore to aft and understand stability will suffer
somewhat.

* In my opinion the less substantial tripod shipped
with the Evolution 6/8 does not provide ample stability up to this
capacity; 18lb/8.2kg is more in line with the other figures here.
